Young Positivists Club

Polish positivism came into existence in 19th century, and as a movement against romanticism and messianism, it disseminated ideas of positivistic labour for the benefit of the economy and culture of the country, which at that time struggled with the uprising ravages and fought with invaders.

Nowadays, modern Polish positivism of the beginning of 21st century, cultivated in state of freedom and democracy, should continue 19th century’s ideas of quick economic, cultural and social advancement. It is especially important now, as our country currently not only undergoes complicated, multidirectional political system transformation, but also prepares for integration with the European Union and strives for good localization in global context.

In such dissimilar conditions, in such a different period of history, technology and civilization, our country - Poland is in an extremely difficult social and economic situation. National culture is losing its status, and positive examples are ousted by avoidance of inconvenience, egoism and various subcultures incoming from outside.

In this situation, it is crucial to rebuild Polish positivism in its modern and innovative form as well as ethos of modern positivistic labour, and to restore respect for moral values along with local and patriotic traditions.

This work can be done only by new generations of Poles. Today, they are but students and university graduates, tomorrow they will be Polish scientific, cultural, educational and political elite – the elite of people ready for new era challenges, creative, and understanding.

Such elite is now needed more than anytime in the past in Poland. This elite needs to become an interdisciplinary circle, supporting one another in their haste for new qualifications and positions, determined to promote their talents, skills and capabilities. In Poland and all over the world.

Polish youth is handsome, intelligent, well educated and full of reasonable aspirations. Polish youth is eager for finding their own place in structures of the country, Europe and the world. That is the youth – the future elite of Polish science, economy, culture and arts – which is so warmly welcome by Young Positivists Club of Hipolit Cegielski Society.

It is destined for that club to be the place of mutual relationships of its members, place for discussions about difficult matters, the place for new economical, social, philosophical and scientific conceptions to be born, but also the place of polemics with the reality. Young Positivists Club is also expected to be the place of meetings with celebrated personalities of culture, science, politics and business from Poland and from abroad.

Young Positivists Club is the place where the new style of 21st century Polish generations shall arise.
