Regulations
of Consumers’ Competition of Quality of Products and Services
“NAJLEPSZE W POLSCE”
(“THE BEST IN POLAND”)

(Regulations approved on 27th January 2006)

In order to distinguish and promote all products and services provided by companies from European Union countries which enjoy the highest esteem of consumers, a certificate of Consumers’ Quality Competition “Najlepsze w Polsce” (“The Best in Poland”) is granted.

I. General provisions

  1. Hipolit Cegielski Society is the owner of property rights to Promotional Emblem “Najlepsze w Polsce” - “The Best in Poland”.
  2. Promotional Emblem „Najlepsze w Polsce”, „The Best in Poland”, (previously “Dobre bo Polskie”), has existed in Poland since 1992 and its author is doctor Marian Król.
  3. The statue of “Hipolit” is designed by professors of Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań: Mr. Wojciech Kujawski and Mr. Kazimierz Raba and it is the property of Hipolit Cegielski Society.
  4. Promotional Emblem “Najlepsze w Polsce” - “The Best in Poland” is a legally protected property.

II. Competition’s Organization

  1. Consumers’ Competition of Quality of Products and Services is organized for producers and service-providers acting in region of European Union and giving their services in Poland.
  2. Consumers’ Competition of Quality “Najlepsze w Polsce” - “The Best in Poland” is organized separately for products and for services, under following names:
    • Consumers’ Competition of Products’ Quality
    • Consumers’ Competition of Services’ Quality
  3. Hipolit Cegielski Society is an organizer of both Competitions. Co-participants in Consumers’ Competition of Services’ Quality are:
    • Wielkopolska Izba Rzemieślnicza (Wielkopolska Handicraftsman’s Chaber)
    • Wielkopolskie Zrzeszenie Handlu i Usług (Wielkopolska Trade and Services’ Association)
  4. In media the Competition proceeds under auspices of:
    • “Głos Wielkopolski” (“The Voice of Wielkopolska”)
    • Mercury Radio SA
    • Poznań Television
    • European Magazine „Europartner”
  5. Competitions are carried out in two editions throughout the year.
  6. “The Voice of Wielkopolska” ensures at least 8 publications of coupons in particular editions of both Competitions in the following terms:
    • 1st edition of Products’ Competition in months: January, February and March
    • 2nd edition of Products’ Competition in months: July, August and September
    • 1st edition of Services’ Competition in months: April, May and June
    • 2nd edition of Services’ Competition in months: October, November and December
  7. Competition’s organizers publish in press, radio, television and Internet information about beginning of the next edition of Competition together with an invitation to vote in following ways:
    • through sending of coupons from “The Voice of Wielkopolska” to Hipolit Cegielski Society, Garncarska street 8, 61-817 Poznań
    • telephone voting - number 0-61/852-38-92
    • through e-mailing of coupons which are to be found on following web sites:

      www.europartner.com.pl
      www.bestfirma.pl
  8. Persons of public trust, competition’s organizers and prize-winners may submit their proposals of products and services to be distinguished.
  9. Consumers indicate the best products and services in regard to quality, their usable or taste values, and not in regard to their country of origin or production.
  10. Consumers’ votes are the basis to establish a list of products or services which are awarded in particular editions of competition.
  11. Committee appointed by organizers decides on results of each edition of the Competition. This committee sums the number of votes given by consumers for particular products or services. Only products satisfying the conditions as in point II. 1 of the present regulations are put on the above-mentioned list.
  12. Final version of the list is approved by organizers of the Competition.
  13. Consumers voting in particular editions of competitions take part in lotteries funded by prizes’ givers.

III. Prize-winners’ rights.

  1. Competitions’ organizers grant to awarded producers and service-providers the certificate of “Consumers’ Quality Competition” and the right to mark their product or service with promotional emblem “Najlepsze w Polsce” - “The best in Poland” as an expression of high esteem of the given product, group of products, or level of services.
  2. Organizers’ staff grants the right to mark with promotional emblem “Najlepsze w Polsce”, “The Best in Poland” the distinguished product or service. It is granted, against payment, for the period of 3 years.
  3. Organizers have the power to withdraw the right to use the promotional emblem in case of lowering of quality of a given product or service.
  4. The prize-winner of the Competition may apply to the organizers’ staff to prolong the right to use the promotional emblem.
  5. Products or services which received the highest estimation may be additionally awarded with the statue of “Hipolit”.
  6. Prize-winners of Consumers’ Quality Competition of Products and Services have the right to:
    • mark the distinguished product or service with the promotional emblem “Najlepsze w Polsce” - “The Best in Poland”
    • put the promotional emblem at the most honourable place in their company
    • use the promotional emblem in their promotional materials and leaflets and in their promotional campaigns in media
    • promote themselves in publications, promotional leaflets and texts of Hipolit Cegielski Society
    • present themselves on the Society’s web site - www.thc.org.pl
    • inform about the awarded products or services at press conferences and meetings with media.
  7. Prize-winners of Consumers’ Quality Competition of Products and Services may unite in club “Najlepsze w Polsce” - “The Best in Poland”.
  8. Producers or service-providers whose products occurred many times on consumers’ lists, may receive an honourable award in the form of diplomas or occasional medal.

IV. Final provisions

  1. Hipolit Cegielski Society keeps registers of products and services which were awarded with emblem “Najlepsze w Polsce” - “The Best in Poland”. It prepares certificates and “Hipolit” statues and is the main organizer of the Competition’s Finale.
  2. Hipolit Cegielski Society places on its own web site, www.thc.org.pl, the list of prize-winners of each edition of the Products’ and Services’ Competition.
  3. Statues and certificates which give the right to use the promotional emblem “Najlepsze w Polsce” - “The Best in Poland” are handed at the ceremonial completion of each edition of the Competition in Poznań.
  4. Organizers inform media about the results of the Competition and the description of the final celebration is placed in own publications and bulletins of Hipolit Cegielski Society.
  5. Awarded companies may be additionally promoted on advantageous conditions in portal Polish Promotional Centre – www.bestfirma.pl or in e-paper “EuroPartner”- European Internet Magazine – www.europartner.com.pl
