GOLDEN HIPOLIT statuette
For this reason, The Hipolit Cegielski Society established honoured distinctions for celebrated personalities – a statuette of “Golden Hipolit” as well as the name of ” Celebrated Personality of Positivist Labour”. The distinction is granted to university fellows, representatives of church, cultural life, politics and economics circles who had their names engraved on the consciousness of Polish society. The “Golden Hipolit” statuette, the prototype of which, was presented to the Pole -Pope, John Paul II, in Vatican in 2001 by Towarzystwo im. Hipolita Cegielskiego (The Hipolit Cegielski Society) whose ideas and activity were blessed by the Pope, became a prestigious confirmation of the work of life of those who are granted this award. The Chamber of “Golden Hipolit” comprises of intellectuals’ élite who represent various social directions, science, church, culture and media circles. The Chamber is created for a year’s period and each time new members are elected. While examining the proposal of a candidate to be awarded with “Golden Hipolit” statuette and the name of ” Celebrated Personality of Positivist Labour”, the Chamber is in all respect independent and its verdicts cannot be questioned. Institutions and people who are given a mandate of the society trust are authorized to propose the candidates for the distinction of “Golden Hipolit” and the name of ”Celebrated Personality of Positivist Labour”. |
